description:  If you have a desire to combine both your love for God and your passion for adrenaline-pumping extreme sports, this is the DTS for you!

With the Ski Snowboard DTS, we are passionate about discovering the radical nature of our Creator and bringing this message to the slopes.

For the first three months in New Zealand, we have cutting edge speakers share relevant and life-changing teaching, giving us tools to apply them into the snowboarding culture and the world around us. We mix up the schedule with a variety of activities to challenge and strengthen our relationship with God and with others, such as weekly small group interaction, classroom teaching, worship and intercession times, study time, community and base work duties, missions and outreach activities, as well as interaction with the local church and community.

We hit the slopes a couple of times each week; on Wednesdays, we ride at Porters, and on Saturdays we head up to Mt Hutt! There are also various opportunities to explore this beautiful country during our free time.

Take the leap and join us for this exciting season on the mountains!
SDTS Outreach

Following our time in Zealand, teams head out for up to 10 weeks to countries such as China, India, Jordan, Israel, Chile, Argentina, Indonesia and the Pacific Islands. Teams reunite in New Zealand for a debriefing time and graduation.

Outreach is a time of tremendous evangelism where we can put into practice what we’ve learned in the lecture phase. Dramas, skits, music, sports and discussion will be used on the streets, in schools and churches to proclaim the name of God and to tell people this much needed truth

school:  Intimacy & Impact DTS ministry:  YWAM Campaigns/House of Prayer ?
start date:  Aug. 2, 2010
finish date:  Dec. 17, 2010

This DTS is guaranteed to spoil you for the ordinary in your own relationship with Jesus & prepare you for a life time of whole hearted devotion to Him in whatever sphere you have a passion for.

The strategic alliance between YWAM Campaigns & the Tauranga House of Prayer is one of the exciting tangible expressions of what is emerging between the global prayer & mission movements. Students will not only be immersed in the presence & power of God in the House of Prayer but also be part of proclaiming the good news of Jesus amongst the nations in word & deed. The scriptures are bathed in examples of this very reality. We believe that authentic and lasting impact comes out of a place of deep and satisfying intimacy with God.

The outreach options (subject to change) for this DTS will be exciting opportunities within the Asia/Pacific region.

The school director is Joshua Cole (NZ) who has been involved in city/nationwide Impact World Tour evangelistic campaigns in NZ & Fiji & is currently helping launch the IWT South Korea campaigns. He also serves on the Tauranga House of Prayer Leadership Team. His wife Misty (USA) has been a prophetic singer at IHOP & helped coordinate IHOP conferences/events before moving to NZ and marrying Josh in 2006. "Our heart is to train and release people to have lasting impact into various nations/spheres with a burning heart for God established from a place of enjoyable prayer and devotion".

school:  Backpackers DTS ministry:  Oxford Base ?
start date:  Oct. 3, 2010
finish date:  Mar. 11, 2011
description:  In putting together this particular DTS, we have had to take into consideration two points of view regarding backpacking:

Europeans would portray a backpacker as one who prefers budget travel and accommodation, flexible travel agendas, and the opportunity to meet other travellers in a relaxed and informal setting. On the other hand, North American culture would describe a backpacker as a person who loves to camp and hike in the great outdoors. They enjoy the wilderness, use vehicles and campers for transport, and build their own fires to prepare meals.

For the Backpackers DTS, YWAM Oxford has combined the two. We give opportunities for those hard-core backpackers who thrive on multiple-day tramps and sleep in huts or tents. Whereas, others choose to stay in backpacker hostel dorm-style living with communal kitchen facilities.

Both of these scenarios are ideal for meeting fellow travellers. Meaningful conversations can occur on the top of a mountain, on a trail, or while preparing dinner for your team over a campfire or in a hostel kitchen.

Over 350,000 people from all over the world backpack across New Zealand each Summer. This presents a wonderful opportunity for friendship evangelism. If this sounds like your passion, the Backpacker DTS is for you!
Vision Statement

Our vision is to radically impact, with the good news of Jesus Christ, to all who are backpackers and those who are called to reach out to these intrepid adventurers, by way of discipleship training, relational evangelism and short term mission trips.

EarthCare students will develop skills in working with poor rural communities to develop ways to improve their land, gain first-hand experience of conditions in a developing country, and learn
how to share their faith in practical ways.
Students will participate in aspects of :
1. Training poor rural communities in simple sustainable agriculture technologies.
2. Testing, monitoring and demonstrating appropriate EarthCare practices.
3. Teaching the foundational Biblical principles of EarthCare.
4. Evangelism through word and action to bring the good news of Jesus Christ
